A32 - Vaccines for poultry from New Zealand

SPECIFIC IMPORT REQUIREMENTS FOR:

 

Commodity:                       Live Vaccines for Poultry Diseases

 

Country of Origin:           New Zealand

 

Documentation Required:

 

    1. General declaration by Manufacturer and officially endorsed stating the following;

       

      (i)            The following vaccines are imported under this permit

       

  • MD-VAC Lyophilized – ACVM N° A2733

  • Poulvac Marek CVI (Rispens CVI) – ACVM N°A5943   

  • Poulvac CVI + HVT Mareks (Rispens CVI + HVT) – ACVM N°A7892

     

    (ii)           That the vaccines have been manufactured in accordance with current New Zealand standards and requirements relating to Good Manufacturing Practices and Quality Assurance for veterinary vaccines

     

  1. That the vaccine is currently registered and approved for unrestricted commercial sale and that distribution for administration to poultry in New Zealand and Australia.

     

  2. All vaccines imported have been properly quantified with batch numbers clearly labeled

     

    GENERAL IMPORT REQUIREMENTS FOR VACCINES – NEW ZEALAND

     

    1.            Vaccines must only be administered to poultry under the care, control and ownership of the importer and that the sale or distribution of the vaccines to second party within Solomon Islands is prohibited.

     

  1. Imported vaccines are stored under the manufacturers prescribed conditions and in safe and secure area.

     

  2. Used vaccine bottles, vials, containers and their applicators must be collected in a safe biohazard garbage container and disposed off properly by incinerator

     

  3. Changes in vaccine type or vaccine manufacturer must have the approval of Biosecurity Solomon Islands and Veterinary Services prior to further importation.

     

  4. Vaccine imports are subject to inspection by a member of Biosecurity Officer of MAL – only an appointed person may administer the vaccines
